ARTUR CIMIRRO

ECCENTRIC PRELUDES Op.8
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
The idea of "Eccentric Preludes" is the same of the "bagatelle" in Beethoven times, but the freedom in composition nowadays can make the real eccentric music. The title is also a small reference to Vladimir Horowitz who composed an "Eccentric Dance" in his youth but became famous as pianist only. The first set of Eccentric preludes (Op.8) is very experimental. Musical ideas from small improvisations at the piano.
This piece can be heard on the CD "Artur Cimirro plays Stuart & Sons in Terra Australis".
